The Reputation and Standing of members are influenced by feedback by those who the member asssisted or worked with. If you were a client, were helped by the member, or worked with the member you can leave feedback for the IOJ, the Order, to consider.
Positive Feedback
Positive feedback reported to us should only be about experiences where the member went above and beyond. Meaning he or she did more than is the norm or was expected. Where the Order concludes that the experience was indeed above and beyond this is counted towards the member’s standing in the Order. This influences the reputation of the Member in and outside of the Order.
Amount of positive feedback: | Reputation and Standing: |
---|---|
0-5 | Regular Member |
5-10 | Recomended Member |
10-15 | Recommended and Trusted Member |
15-20 | Excellent Member / 1st class |
20 and more | Extraordinary Member / 1st class |

Complaint / Investigation
A complaint is investigated. Your jurist not being able to assist you, or not being succesful, is not sufficient reason by itself to submit a complaint. To make a complaint the member must have broken our code of conduct, shown professional incompetence, acted (borderline) criminally, or otherwise behaved indecently.
Please note that it is ultimately the Order who will decide on the outcome of the complaint. The member can receive a Reprimand. This will mean a negative mark against the Member’s record. This will clear out any previous positive feedback and set the member’s reputation back as a standard member. We can also decide on a Sanction. This can be one of many things. It could be an inability to progress the Member’s standing for a period of time, it could be some form of redress to you, etc. In severe cases we will consider Removal of the member from the Order. When a member is removed from the order due to an investigation this will stay on record for others to review.
